Dryer Not Heating
On standard dryers, the usual causes are a failed heating element, a blown thermal fuse or a faulty thermostat.
Causes & checks
On gas dryers, a weak igniter or gas valve coils are the usual causes. A blown thermal fuse is often a sign of a blocked vent, so we check the airflow as well as the part. Want to check a few things first? Our guide to why your dryer isn’t heating walks you through the setting, the breaker and the vent.
