Bosch appliances we repair

Every Bosch in your home, one local team

Bosch appliances are quiet, compact and full of sensors, which is great until one of those sensors stops the machine with a code on the display. Most Bosch problems we see come down to a sensor, a pump, a seal or a control that needs a reset or a part. We test before we replace anything, so you don't pay for parts you didn't need.

Our Bosch appliance repair covers dishwashers, 24-inch compact washers and dryers, fridges, wall ovens, stoves, cooktops, microwave drawers and range hoods. Diagnostic regularly $129, now $99, and always waived when Aria does the repair. Every completed repair comes with a 1-Year Parts & Labour Warranty. Need a Bosch repair service near me in Vaughan? Refrigerators

Bosch Fridge Problems We Fix

We repair Bosch fridges, including Benchmark and built-in models, where most problems show up as a warm fridge or a code.

Fridge Not Cooling
Likely cause
A fan, a frosted coil from a defrost problem, dirty condenser coils, or a sensor.
Try this first
Check that the doors close fully and nothing inside is pressed against the vents.
When to call Aria
If it's still warm a few hours later with the doors shut, book a visit so we can test the fan, defrost system and sensors.
Ice or Water Dispenser Not Working
Likely cause
Frozen fill lines, an overdue water filter, or a failed inlet valve.
Try this first
Change the water filter if it's due. Bosch recommends about every six months, or when the filter light comes on.
When to call Aria
If a fresh filter doesn't bring the water and ice back, the fill line or inlet valve needs testing.
Door Not Sealing
Likely cause
On built-in models, door alignment matters. A gap lets warm air in and makes the fridge run constantly.
Try this first
Check that a shelf, drawer or container isn't stopping the door from closing.
When to call Aria
If the gap stays, the door needs adjusting or a new gasket. We do it in place, without pulling the fridge out.
Fridge Clicking, Buzzing or Knocking
Likely cause
A fan blade catching on frost is a common cause.
Try this first
After a move or a new install, give it a day to settle.
When to call Aria
Clicking, buzzing or a fan that knocks after that is worth a check.

Stove & Oven

Bosch Stove and Oven Problems We Fix

We repair Bosch single and double wall ovens, gas stoves and induction cooktops.

Oven Not Heating or Holding Temperature
Likely cause
A bake element, a temperature sensor or the controls, or a weak igniter on gas models.
Try this first
Check the breaker, and that the control lock isn't on. A locked panel looks like a dead control.
When to call Aria
We test the sensor, element and controls before replacing anything.
Gas Burner Clicks but Won't Light
Likely cause
Usually a wet or misaligned burner cap, or a weak igniter.
Try this first
Once the cooktop is cool, dry the cap and seat it flat.
When to call Aria
If it still won't light, or a burner keeps going out, we test the igniter and spark module. If you smell gas, leave it off and call your gas utility first.
Cooktop Zone Not Heating
Likely cause
On smooth-top and induction cooktops, a zone, its control, or touch controls that lock.
Try this first
Induction zones won't heat with the wrong pan, so test with one a magnet sticks to. Check the child lock too.
When to call Aria
If the right pan and an unlocked panel don't help, the zone or its control needs testing.
Oven Door Stuck Locked After Self-Clean
Likely cause
The oven keeps the door locked until it has cooled, or the lock or control has failed.
Try this first
Let the oven cool fully. The door unlocks on its own once it's safe.
When to call Aria
If it's still locked when the oven is cold, the lock or the control needs testing.
Open oven with raw cookie dough on the tray and no heat

Good to know

Bosch ovens run a cooling fan after cooking to protect the controls, so a fan that keeps going for a while after you switch off is normal. A fan that never stops, or an oven that won't come on until it's been off for a long time, points to a sensor or control fault.

On induction cooktops, a faint hum or buzz with some pans is also normal. It's the pan, not the cooktop.

Washers

Bosch Washer Problems We Fix

We repair Bosch 24-inch compact washers, the 300, 500 and 800 Series popular in condos and laundry closets.

Washer Not Draining
Likely cause
The pump filter behind the small front cover catches coins, hair pins and lint.
Try this first
Clean the pump filter behind the small front cover. Put a towel and a shallow tray down first, and let a hot wash cool.
When to call Aria
If the filter is clear and it still won't drain, the drain hose or pump needs a look.
Washer Slow to Fill or Not Filling
Likely cause
A closed tap or kinked hose. On models with AquaStop hoses, the safety valve at the tap end can block the fill.
Try this first
Check that the taps are fully open and the inlet hose isn't kinked.
When to call Aria
If the taps and hose are fine, the inlet valve or the AquaStop hose needs testing.
Washer Leaking
Likely cause
A torn door boot, a loose hose, or the AquaStop system catching a fault.
Try this first
Check the door seal for tears or trapped items.
When to call Aria
If water keeps appearing, book a visit so we can trace it.
Washer Won't Spin or Loud in Spin
Likely cause
An unbalanced load, worn drum bearings or a door lock that doesn't confirm.
Try this first
Spread the load out evenly, check the washer sits level, and run a spin again.
When to call Aria
A loud roar on a balanced load usually means bearings, which is a repair.

Seeing a code? See Bosch washer codes

Water draining from a washer's pump filter into a tray on the floor

Good to know

To keep a compact washer running well, clean the pump filter every few months, leave the door open between loads so the seal can dry, and use HE detergent in the right amount. Too much soap is a common cause of drain and suds problems.

Dryers

Bosch Dryer Problems We Fix

We repair Bosch compact condensing and heat-pump dryers, which don't vent outside, so most calls start with damp clothes.

Clothes Still Damp After a Full Cycle
Likely cause
A sensor, the pump on drain-hose models, or the heating system.
Try this first
Empty the water container (on models without a drain hose) and clean the lint filter.
When to call Aria
If clothes are still damp after that, book a visit.
Cycle Running Much Longer Than It Used To
Likely cause
A condenser clogged with lint is a common reason.
Try this first
Rinse the condenser under the tap. On many models it slides out from behind the small flap at the bottom front. Bosch suggests doing this about once a month.
When to call Aria
Heat-pump models usually have a self-cleaning condenser, so leave that one to us.
Full-Container Light Right After Emptying
Likely cause
The container isn't seated, or the pump or its sensor needs a look.
Try this first
Push the container fully back in. On models with a drain hose, check the hose isn't kinked.
When to call Aria
If the light stays on, book a visit.
Dryer Tumbling With No Warmth
Likely cause
A heating fault on condensing models, or a heat-pump fault.
Try this first
Heat-pump models dry at lower temperatures, so a longer cycle is normal. Check the breaker and the lint filter.
When to call Aria
One that tumbles with no warmth at all is worth a visit.
Hand holding a still-damp towel at an open dryer

Good to know

For a Bosch washer dryer repair (the stacked pair), we look at each machine on its own, on the same visit.

Dishwashers

Bosch Dishwasher Problems We Fix

We repair Bosch dishwashers, where most calls start with a leak code, water left in the tub, wet dishes or a door that won't latch.

Leak Code or Water in the Base
Likely cause
Water has reached the tray under the tub and the leak-protection float has stopped the dishwasher. Usually a worn door seal, a loose hose in the base, or suds from regular dish soap.
Try this first
Switch it off and make sure you're using dishwasher detergent, not dish soap.
When to call Aria
If the leak code keeps coming back, book a visit so we can find the source.
Water Left in the Tub
Likely cause
A kinked hose, a clogged filter, a new disposal's knockout plug, or something caught in the drain pump.
Try this first
Clean the filter and check the hose under the sink.
When to call Aria
A jammed or damaged pump is a repair.
Dishes Coming Out Wet
Likely cause
Bosch dries by condensation, so rinse aid matters. An empty dispenser is the most common cause.
Try this first
Top up the rinse aid, raise the dispenser setting, and keep the door closed until the cycle ends. Plastics always dry less.
When to call Aria
If glass and china come out soaked, a sensor or the heating system needs testing.
Dishwasher Won't Start
Likely cause
Child lock or delayed start, which make the panel look dead, or the door switch or control.
Try this first
Check that child lock and delayed start are off. Your manual shows how on your model.
When to call Aria
If neither is on, the door switch or the control needs testing.

Good to know

Bosch dishwashers have a sealed base with a leak sensor, a fine filter system and condensation drying, and knowing that makes repairing a Bosch dishwasher faster.

Microwaves · Range hoods

Bosch Microwave and Range Hood Problems We Fix

We repair Bosch microwave drawers, over-the-range microwaves and speed ovens, plus Bosch range hoods.

Microwave Drawer Won't Open or Close
Likely cause
The drawer mechanism, a door switch or the control.
Try this first
Check that the control lock is off. Don't force the drawer by hand, since the motorized mechanism can be damaged.
When to call Aria
If it still won't move, book a visit before a simple switch repair turns into a bigger one.
Microwave Not Heating
Likely cause
A door switch, an internal fuse or a heating part.
Try this first
Heat a cup of water on high for one minute to confirm it isn't heating.
When to call Aria
Please don't open the housing yourself, since microwaves can hold a charge after unplugging.
Range Hood Fan, Lights or Controls Not Working
Likely cause
Clogged filters, a worn motor, a failed light or a control fault.
Try this first
Clean the grease filters. Most metal filters can go through the dishwasher.
When to call Aria
If the fan still won't run, or stays loud with clean filters, the motor or control needs testing.
Hood Not Clearing Smoke or Smells
Likely cause
On recirculating hoods, an overdue charcoal filter.
Try this first
Replace the charcoal filter if it's due.
When to call Aria
If a new filter doesn't help, the fan needs a look.
Microwave drawer stuck partly open under a counter

Good to know

Don't force a microwave drawer open by hand, because the motorized mechanism can be damaged. And please don't open a microwave's housing yourself, since it can hold a charge after unplugging.

Repair or replace

Repair or Replace Your Bosch?

A simple rule of thumb, then the factors that change it. More on this: repair or replace your appliance.

Repair cost as a share of a comparable new Bosch
Under about halfand the rest in good shape: repair it.
Over about half, or other problems building upIt's a bigger decision. We give you the price so you can weigh it up.

Age & condition

An older appliance with several problems is a different call from a reliable one with a single failure.

Type of failure

Most Bosch repairs we see are a single part: a pump, a seal, a sensor, a latch or a fan.

The big-ticket parts

A major control failure on an older unit, or a fridge that needs sealed-system work.

The price, first

Either way, we give you the price first, so the decision is yours.

Bosch dishwashers are usually worth repairing: the tub is stainless steel, and pumps, sensors, door hinges and latches are replaceable on their own. If replacing makes more sense, we also do installation from $129.

Our 2 year old Electrolux washing machine started glitching and would stop and display several error codes during the drain cycle (full of water and wet clothes). I called Electrolux and their technician determined that the drain pump needed to be replaced, but it would have taken about a week for them to receive the part and come back to install it.

We decided to call Joe at Aria Appliance Repair after a friend recommended him. Joe came out, tested the pump, got the washer to drain and found that the pump was actually working. He spent more time testing the machine and eventually determined that the main control board was the problem. He came back the next day with the new board, installed it, and tested the washer twice to make sure everything was working properly.

I've since run several loads with no issues. We were really impressed with Joe's knowledge and troubleshooting. He was able to properly diagnose the problem when the manufactures technician had misdiagnosed it. Definitely recommend Joe and Aria Appliance Repair.

What does E15 mean on a Bosch dishwasher?
On many models, E15 means water has reached the tray under the tub, and the leak-protection float has stopped the dishwasher. A worn door seal, a loose hose in the base, or suds from regular dish soap are common causes. Switch the dishwasher off and book a check, so the source of the water can be found rather than just cleared.
What's the difference between E24 and E25 on a Bosch dishwasher?
On many models, E24 points to a blockage outside the pump: a kinked drain hose, a clogged filter, or a new disposal whose knockout plug wasn't removed. E25 points to the drain pump itself being blocked by glass or debris, or its cover being loose. Clean the filter and check the hose first. If the code stays, book a visit.
Why does my Bosch dishwasher leave dishes wet?
Bosch dries by condensation rather than with a large heating element, so rinse aid matters more than with many brands. Top up the rinse aid, raise the dispenser setting, and keep the door closed until the cycle ends. Plastics always dry less than glass. If even glass and china come out soaked, a sensor or the heating system needs testing.
My Bosch dishwasher door won't latch. Does it need repair?
Sometimes. First make sure no rack, utensil or tall dish is stopping the door, and check that child lock isn't on. If the door still won't click shut, or the dishwasher won't start with it closed, the latch or door switch is likely worn and needs replacing. A door that drops open usually points to worn hinge springs.
What do E18 and E17 mean on a Bosch compact washer?
On many models, E18 (or F18) means the washer isn't draining. Clean the pump filter behind the small front panel, with towels ready. E17 (or F17) means the fill time was exceeded. Check that the taps are fully open and the hose isn't kinked. On AquaStop hoses, the safety valve at the tap can block the fill.
Do you repair Bosch 24-inch compact washers and dryers?
Yes. We repair Bosch 300 and 500 Series compact washers and their condensing and heat-pump dryers, the stacked pairs common in condos and laundry closets. That includes drain and fill codes, leaks, spin problems, and dryers that leave clothes damp. Tell us about both machines when you book, and we'll look at each one on the same visit.
What do E or d codes mean on my Bosch fridge?
On many models, codes starting with E or d point to a fault in the fridge's control system. Bosch's own advice is to switch the fridge off for about five minutes, then back on. If the code returns, it needs a technician. Keep the doors closed in the meantime so the fridge and freezer hold their cold as long as possible.
Is it worth repairing a Bosch appliance?
Usually, yes. Most Bosch repairs we see are a single part: a pump, a seal, a sensor, a latch or a fan. A simple rule: if the repair costs less than about half of a comparable new appliance and the rest of the machine is in good shape, repair it. We give you the price before any work, so the decision stays yours.
Can you get parts for Bosch appliances?
Once we've tested your Bosch, we confirm which part it needs and what the repair costs before touching anything. When a part needs ordering, you hear the timing from us right away, and we set the return visit together. Having your model number ready helps us look it up faster. On Bosch dishwashers, it's usually printed on the edge of the door.
How much does Bosch repair cost, and how can I pay?
Diagnostic regularly $129, now $99, and always waived when Aria does the repair. Your technician gives you the full repair price before any work begins. Installing a new Bosch dishwasher, cooktop or wall oven starts from $129. We accept cards, debit, cash, PayPal and Apple Pay, and repairs carry our 1-Year Parts & Labour Warranty.
Are you a Bosch dealer?
No. Aria Appliance Repair is an independent repair company. We service Bosch along with other major brands, and we're not affiliated with the manufacturer. That means we work for you: we test the appliance, explain what's wrong in plain terms, and give you a price before any work starts. Completed repairs carry our 1-Year Parts & Labour Warranty.
How do I book Bosch repair in my area?
Book online by picking your appliance, a day and an arrival window, or call 1-888-642-0352, Mon–Sun 8 AM–10 PM. We serve all of Vaughan, including Woodbridge, Maple, Kleinburg, Concord and Thornhill.
