Electrolux appliances we repair

Electrolux laundry and kitchen repair, one local team

Electrolux is the premium side of its family. In Vaughan we mostly see it in front-load laundry pairs and stacked laundry towers, induction and dual-fuel ranges, wall ovens and wall oven/microwave combinations. When something goes wrong, these show short codes like E21, F10, SY EF or i20. Write the code down, because it points us to the right system before we arrive.

We repair Electrolux front-load and top-load washers, dryers, French-door and counter-depth fridges, induction, gas and dual-fuel ranges, wall ovens, cooktops, dishwashers, over-the-range, built-in and drawer microwaves, and range hoods. Diagnostic regularly $129, now $99, and always waived when Aria does the repair. You get the price before any work starts, and completed repairs include our 1-Year Parts & Labour Warranty. Refrigerators

Electrolux Fridge Problems We Fix

We repair Electrolux French-door and counter-depth fridges, and we check the simple causes before the sealed system.

Ice Maker Not Making Ice
Likely cause
A frozen fill tube, a failed water inlet valve, an overdue water filter, or an ice maker that has stopped cycling.
Try this first
Check the ice maker is switched on, the water filter is seated and not overdue, and the supply valve behind the fridge is open. Break up any clump in the bin.
When to call Aria
If ice still won't come after a day, book a visit.
Fridge Warm, Freezer Still Cold
Likely cause
The evaporator fan, or frost on the coil from a defrost fault that blocks cold air to the fridge side.
Try this first
Make sure food isn't pressed against the vents and the doors and drawers close fully. A fridge thermometer on a middle shelf tells you the real temperature.
When to call Aria
If it's above 4 °C after a day, book a visit.
SY EF or SY CE on the Display
Likely cause
On many models, SY EF points to the evaporator fan and SY CE to a communication fault between the boards.
Try this first
Turn the fridge off at the breaker or unplug it for a few minutes, then power it back on.
When to call Aria
If the code returns, book a visit. Write down the code exactly.
Water Leaking Inside or Under the Fridge
Likely cause
A blocked defrost drain or a loose water line to the dispenser or ice maker.
Try this first
Wipe it up, check the water filter is fully locked in and the fridge is level.
When to call Aria
If water keeps coming back, book a visit.

Seeing a code? See Electrolux fridge codes

Pulled-out ice bin with only a few small fused ice cubes

Good to know

Counter-depth fridges sit tight to the cabinets, so leave the grille at the bottom clear. Blocked airflow there makes the fridge run warm.

Most fridge repairs we do land around $120–$550, depending on the part. You get the exact price before any work starts.

Stove & Oven

Electrolux Range and Oven Problems We Fix

We repair Electrolux induction, gas and dual-fuel ranges, single and double wall ovens, oven/microwave combinations and cooktops.

Induction Zone Not Heating
Likely cause
Cookware that isn't induction-ready, a pan that's too small for the zone, or a failed induction board.
Try this first
Hold a fridge magnet to the bottom of the pan. If it doesn't stick firmly, the pan won't work on induction. Centre the pan on the zone and check the control lock isn't on.
When to call Aria
If a zone still won't heat with the right pan, book a visit.
Oven Not Heating
Likely cause
A failed bake element, a weak gas igniter, or the oven temperature sensor.
Try this first
Check the breaker, make sure a delay start isn't set and try Broil to see if the top heats.
When to call Aria
If Bake stays cold, book a visit.
F10, F30 or F90 Code
Likely cause
On many models, F10 means the oven ran too hot, F30 points to the oven sensor and F90 to the door lock.
Try this first
Turn the range off at the breaker for a few minutes, then try again.
When to call Aria
If the code comes back, write it down and book a visit. Don't use the oven while F10 shows.
Gas Burner Clicks but Won't Light
Likely cause
Usually a wet or misaligned burner cap, or a weak igniter.
Try this first
Once the cooktop is cool, dry the burner cap and base and seat the cap flat.
When to call Aria
If it still won't light, we test the igniter and spark module. If you smell gas, leave it off and call your gas utility first.

Seeing a code? See Electrolux stove and oven codes

Hand holding a magnet to the bottom of a pan above an induction cooktop

Good to know

On induction, a zone that won't start is often the pan, not the cooktop. Try a magnetic pot first. If a fridge magnet won't stick to the base, the zone can't heat it.

Most range and oven repairs we do land around $130–$350, depending on the part. You get the exact price before any work starts.

Washers

Electrolux Washer Problems We Fix

We repair Electrolux front-load washers, including stacked laundry towers and pedestal pairs, and Electrolux top-load washers.

Door Won't Lock or Unlock (E41)
Likely cause
Something caught in the door, a worn latch, or a failed door lock.
Try this first
Check nothing is caught in the door seal and close it firmly. Turn the washer off for one minute and try again.
When to call Aria
A worn door lock is a common repair. If E41 returns, book a visit.
Not Draining (E21)
Likely cause
A clogged drain pump filter, a kinked drain hose, or a drain pump that has failed.
Try this first
Put towels and a shallow tray down, then clean the drain pump filter behind the small door at the bottom front. Check the drain hose isn't kinked.
When to call Aria
If E21 keeps coming back, the drain pump needs testing.
Not Filling (E11)
Likely cause
Closed taps, kinked fill hoses, clogged inlet screens, or a failed water inlet valve.
Try this first
Open both taps all the way and straighten the hoses.
When to call Aria
If E11 shows with the taps fully open, book a visit.
Washer Leaking
Likely cause
A torn door boot seal, a loose drain pump filter cap, or too much suds.
Try this first
Check the filter cap is screwed in tight and use HE detergent, a little less of it.
When to call Aria
If water still shows up after a normal load, book a visit. Tell us where the puddle starts.

Seeing a code? See Electrolux washer codes

Good to know

Leave the door open between loads and wipe the door seal dry. It keeps smells and drain codes down.

Most washer repairs we do land around $150–$350, depending on the part. You get the exact price before any work starts.

Dryers

Electrolux Dryer Problems We Fix

We repair Electrolux electric and gas dryers, including stacked pairs and steam models.

Dryer Won't Start
Likely cause
A blocked lint path or blower, the door switch, a thermal fuse, or the control. On a recent Caledon job, socks were stuck in the lint trap and blower motor.
Try this first
Make sure the door is fully shut and the breaker is on. Pull the lint filter out, clean it and check nothing has dropped into the slot below it.
When to call Aria
If it still won't start, book a visit. Please don't run it with something stuck in the blower.
Dryer Not Heating
Likely cause
On electric dryers, often a heating element or thermal fuse. On gas dryers, an igniter or gas valve coils.
Try this first
Check both breakers for an electric dryer, and the gas valve behind a gas dryer.
When to call Aria
We test and replace the failed part, and check the vent so it doesn't happen again.
Dryer Taking Too Long
Likely cause
Lint in the vent duct, a crushed duct, or an outside flap stuck shut.
Try this first
Clean the lint filter, check the duct behind the dryer isn't crushed and the outside flap opens when the dryer runs.
When to call Aria
If the vent is clear and loads still take more than one cycle, book a visit.
Squealing or Thumping
Likely cause
Worn drum rollers, a worn idler pulley, or a loose belt.
Try this first
Check for a coin or zipper caught at the front of the drum.
When to call Aria
If the noise stays, stop using it and book a visit.

Seeing a code? See Electrolux dryer codes

Good to know

Stacked pairs: please clear space around the laundry closet, since we may need to unstack the dryer.

Most dryer repairs we do land around $130–$320, depending on the part. You get the exact price before any work starts.

Dishwashers

Electrolux Dishwasher Problems We Fix

We repair Electrolux built-in dishwashers, including top-control models.

Dishes Coming Out Wet
Likely cause
An empty rinse aid dispenser, plastics that don't hold heat, or a failed heater or vent.
Try this first
Top up the rinse aid, use the extra-dry option if your model has it, and open the door a little after the cycle.
When to call Aria
If metal and glass dishes come out wet too, book a visit.
Water Left in the Bottom (i20)
Likely cause
A clogged filter, a kinked drain hose, a new disposal's knockout plug, or a drain pump that has failed.
Try this first
Twist out and rinse the filter, check the drain hose under the sink and run the disposal before you start.
When to call Aria
If i20 keeps coming back, the drain pump needs testing.
Leak in the Base (E30)
Likely cause
Water has reached the base pan, from a loose fill line, a door gasket or too much suds.
Try this first
Use only dishwasher detergent, never dish soap, and check the door closes evenly.
When to call Aria
Switch it off and book a check, since the source of the water needs finding.
Dishes Not Getting Clean
Likely cause
A dirty filter, blocked spray arms, or cool water at the start.
Try this first
Clean the filter monthly, check the spray arms spin, and run the kitchen tap until it's hot before starting.
When to call Aria
If dishes still come out gritty, book a visit.

Good to know

Top-control models only run with the door fully latched. If it won't start, close the door firmly before anything else.

Most dishwasher repairs we do land around $130–$340, depending on the part. You get the exact price before any work starts.

Microwaves · Range hoods

Electrolux Microwave and Range Hood Problems We Fix

We repair Electrolux over-the-range, built-in and drawer microwaves, and Electrolux range hoods.

Microwave Runs but Doesn't Heat
Likely cause
A failed high-voltage diode, capacitor, magnetron or door switch.
Try this first
Make sure the door or drawer closes fully and heat a cup of water for one minute. If the light and fan work but the water stays cold, stop using it.
When to call Aria
Microwaves hold a charge even when unplugged, so please don't open the cover. Book a visit.
Microwave Dead or Won't Start
Likely cause
A tripped breaker, a blown internal fuse, or a door switch that has failed.
Try this first
Check the breaker and that the door or drawer is fully closed. Check a control lock isn't on.
When to call Aria
If it's still dead, a door switch is often the cause, and we test it before replacing anything.
Vent Fan or Light Not Working
Likely cause
A failed fan motor, a blown bulb or LED, or the control board.
Try this first
Clean the grease filters and try the fan on every speed.
When to call Aria
If the fan or light still won't work, book a visit.
Hood Not Clearing Smoke
Likely cause
Clogged grease filters, a stuck damper, or an old charcoal filter on a recirculating setup.
Try this first
Soak the metal grease filters in hot soapy water, and replace the charcoal filter if your hood recirculates.
When to call Aria
If the fan sounds weak with clean filters, book a visit.

Repair or Replace Your Electrolux?

A simple rule of thumb, then the factors that change it. More on this: repair or replace your appliance.

Under about halfand the rest in good shape: repair it.
Over about half, or other problems building upIt's a bigger decision. We give you the price so you can weigh it up.

Age & condition

An older appliance with several problems is a different call from a reliable one with a single failure.

Type of failure

Most Electrolux repairs we see are a single part: a drain pump, a door lock, a sensor, a fan, an igniter or a heating element.

The big-ticket parts

Compressor or sealed-system work on a fridge, or an induction board or main control board on an older range.

Like the Caledon dryer job: it had power but wouldn't start, because socks were stuck in the lint trap and blower motor. Removing them and vacuuming out the lint was the repair.

On Electrolux washers and dryers, pumps, door locks and heating parts are usually worth fixing at almost any age. If replacing makes more sense, we also do installation from $129.

Our 2 year old Electrolux washing machine started glitching and would stop and display several error codes during the drain cycle (full of water and wet clothes). I called Electrolux and their technician determined that the drain pump needed to be replaced, but it would have taken about a week for them to receive the part and come back to install it.

We decided to call Joe at Aria Appliance Repair after a friend recommended him. Joe came out, tested the pump, got the washer to drain and found that the pump was actually working. He spent more time testing the machine and eventually determined that the main control board was the problem. He came back the next day with the new board, installed it, and tested the washer twice to make sure everything was working properly.

I've since run several loads with no issues. We were really impressed with Joe's knowledge and troubleshooting. He was able to properly diagnose the problem when the manufactures technician had misdiagnosed it. Definitely recommend Joe and Aria Appliance Repair.

What does E21 mean on my Electrolux washer?
On many models, E21 means the washer is taking too long to drain. Turn it off, put towels and a shallow tray down, and clean the drain pump filter behind the small door at the bottom front. Check the drain hose isn't kinked. If E21 keeps coming back, the drain pump needs testing.
What do E11 and E41 mean on an Electrolux washer?
On many models, E11 means the washer is taking too long to fill, so open both taps fully and check the hoses. E41 means the door is open or not locking, so close it firmly and check nothing is caught. If either code keeps coming back, book a visit.
Why won't my Electrolux dryer start?
Check the door is fully shut, the breaker is on and a control lock isn't set. Clean the lint filter and check nothing has dropped into the slot below it. On a recent Caledon job, an Electrolux dryer had power but wouldn't start because socks were stuck in the lint trap and blower motor. We took it apart, removed them and vacuumed out the lint.
Why is my Electrolux induction range not heating?
Most often the pan isn't induction-ready. Hold a fridge magnet to the bottom of the pan, and if it doesn't stick firmly, the pan won't work. Also centre the pan on the zone and check the control lock. If a zone still won't heat with the right pan, the induction board or control needs testing.
What do F10 and F30 mean on an Electrolux oven?
On many models, F10 means the oven ran too hot and F30 points to the oven temperature sensor. Turn the range off at the breaker for a few minutes and try again, and don't use the oven while F10 shows. If either code comes back, book a visit.
What does SY EF mean on my Electrolux fridge?
On many models, SY EF points to the evaporator fan, often because frost has built up around it. Power the fridge off for a few minutes, then back on, and check the doors close fully. If it returns, we test the fan and the defrost system and fix the cause.
Why is my Electrolux ice maker not working?
Often the water filter is overdue, the supply valve behind the fridge is closed, or the fill tube has frozen. Check the ice maker is switched on and break up any clump in the bin. If ice still won't come after a day, book a visit.
What does i20 mean on an Electrolux dishwasher?
On many models, i20 means the dishwasher didn't drain. Rinse the filter, check the drain hose under the sink, and make sure a new disposal's knockout plug was removed. If i20 keeps coming back, the drain pump needs testing. An E30 code means water has reached the base, so switch it off and book a check.
Is it worth repairing an Electrolux appliance?
Electrolux appliances usually cost more to replace, so most repairs are worth it: a pump, a door lock, a sensor, a fan or a heating part. A simple rule: if the repair costs less than about half of a comparable new appliance, repair it. The bigger calls are sealed-system fridge work or an induction or main control board. We price it first, so you decide.
How much does Electrolux repair cost?
Diagnostic regularly $129, now $99, and always waived when Aria does the repair. After testing, you get the exact repair price before any work starts. Installing a new Electrolux appliance starts from $129. We accept cards, debit, cash, PayPal and Apple Pay, and completed repairs carry our 1-Year Parts & Labour Warranty.
Can you get parts for my Electrolux appliance?
Our technician pins down the exact Electrolux part and gives you the repair price before any work. If a part needs ordering, such as a control board, we tell you the timing up front and book a second visit that suits you. Keep your model number handy. On Electrolux washers, it's usually on a label inside the door frame.
How do I book Electrolux repair near me?
Book online by choosing your appliance, a day and an arrival window, or call 1-888-642-0352, Mon–Sun 8 AM–10 PM. We serve all of Vaughan, including Woodbridge, Maple, Kleinburg, Concord and Thornhill. If you're outside Vaughan, call to confirm your address. Write down any code on the display first, because it helps us plan the visit.
