Samsung appliances lean on electronics: touch panels, smart sensors and error codes for almost everything. That means a Samsung washer, fridge or stove will often tell you what's wrong, if you know how to read it. Our technicians know the codes, test the part behind them, and fix it in your home.

We repair Samsung washers, dryers, fridges, dishwashers, stoves, over-the-range microwaves and range hoods. Diagnostic regularly $129, now $99, and always waived when Aria does the repair. You get the price before any work begins, and completed repairs include our 1-Year Parts & Labour Warranty. Call 1-888-642-0352, Mon–Sun 8 AM–10 PM, or book online.

Refrigerators

Samsung Fridge Problems We Fix

We repair Samsung French-door, side-by-side and Family Hub fridges, including the ice maker frost-up that's a common Samsung problem.

Fridge Not Cooling, Freezer Still Cold
Likely cause
Fan or defrost trouble: frost blocks the air path, often with ice around the fan.
Try this first
Check the doors close fully and nothing blocks the vents. A manual defrost helps for a few days, but the frost returns if a defrost part has failed.
When to call Aria
Keep the doors closed and book a visit so we can fix the cause.
Ice Maker Frozen Over or Not Making Ice
Likely cause
Usually a frozen fill line, the ice maker or its heater, or frost building up in the in-door ice room.
Try this first
Check the ice maker is switched on, the water filter isn't overdue and the freezer is cold enough.
When to call Aria
Once the ice room has iced over, it needs a full defrost, and often a seal or part repair so it doesn't come back. A reset alone won't fix it.
Both Sections Warming Up
Likely cause
Dirty condenser coils, a condenser fan, the start components or, less often, the compressor.
Try this first
Make sure the fridge hasn't been switched to a demo or cooling-off mode, where the lights work but nothing cools, and that the breaker is on.
When to call Aria
If both sections keep warming, book a visit. We check the simple things first.
Water Leaking Inside or Under the Fridge
Likely cause
A frozen defrost drain, an ice maker or dispenser leak, or a loose water line connection.
Try this first
Check the fridge sits level with the front slightly higher, and that the water filter is twisted fully into place.
When to call Aria
If water keeps appearing, book a visit. Tell us whether it's inside, under the crispers or on the floor.

Seeing a code? See Samsung fridge codes

Open fridge with condensation on the bottles and a limp bag of salad

Good to know

Keep the doors closed while you wait for us.

On many Samsung French-door and four-door fridges, the ice maker sits in the fresh-food door in its own compartment. Frost building up in that compartment is a common cause of slow or no ice.

Water filter. Samsung recommends replacing the fridge water filter about every six months. The filter light runs on a timer, so if the water slows down before then, change it anyway. Afterwards, reset the light by holding the reset button for about three seconds. The button varies by model.

Stove & Oven

Samsung Stove and Oven Problems We Fix

We repair Samsung gas, electric and smooth-top stoves, including Flex Duo ovens with the Smart Divider.

Burner or Element Not Heating
Likely cause
On smooth tops, an element or its switch has failed, or the element is stuck on high. On gas stoves, a burner that clicks but won't light usually has a wet or misaligned cap or a dirty igniter.
Try this first
On a gas burner, let it cool, dry the cap and set it back flat. On a smooth top, try another element on the same setting.
When to call Aria
If it still won't light, or an element stays off or stuck on high, turn it off and book a visit. If you smell gas, leave it off and call your gas utility first.
Oven Not Heating or Slow to Preheat
Likely cause
A bake element, an igniter on gas models, or the temperature sensor.
Try this first
Make sure delay start or a timed cook setting isn't on, and keep the door shut while it preheats.
When to call Aria
On Flex Duo ovens, each compartment can be tested separately, so tell us which one is acting up.
Stove Completely Dead
Likely cause
The control board, wiring or a failed component.
Try this first
Check the breaker first.
When to call Aria
If the breaker is on and the stove is still dead, book a visit and we'll trace where the power stops.
Control Panel Beeping or a Key Stuck
Likely cause
A button on the control panel is stuck or reading as pressed.
Try this first
Wipe the panel and make sure nothing is resting on it.
When to call Aria
If it keeps happening, the control panel needs a look. We test it before replacing anything.

Glass cooktop with one element glowing and the element under the egg pan cold and dark

Good to know

Looking for Samsung oven repair near me in Vaughan? Book online or call. Pick the arrival window that suits you. Samsung gas stove repair is appliance repair only: we fix the stove, its burners, igniters and oven.

On a smooth-top stove, a hot-surface light that stays on after cooking is normal until the glass cools.

On Samsung smooth-top stoves, the elements cycle on and off to hold a setting, so a zone that glows and dims on medium is normal.

Washers

Samsung Washer Problems We Fix

We repair Samsung front-load washers, and most calls come down to water, the door or balance.

Washer Not Filling
Likely cause
Clogged inlet screens, a closed tap or a kinked hose, or the inlet valve.
Try this first
Open both taps fully, and check the hoses for kinks.
When to call Aria
If the water supply is fine, the inlet valve or its screens need a look.
Washer Not Draining
Likely cause
Something is blocking the pump, or the pump has failed.
Try this first
Clean the pump filter. It sits behind the small cover at the bottom front. Put a towel and a tray down first. Then check the drain hose for kinks.
When to call Aria
If it's clear, the hose or pump needs testing.
Door Won't Lock
Likely cause
The washer can't confirm the door is closed and locked.
Try this first
Check for clothing in the door and close it firmly.
When to call Aria
If it keeps happening with the door properly shut, the door lock is likely worn. That's a common repair.
Washer Leaking
Likely cause
At the front, usually the door seal or drawer. At the back or underneath, usually a hose or the pump.
Try this first
Check the door seal for a stuck sock or a tear, push the detergent drawer all the way in, and use HE detergent at the recommended amount.
When to call Aria
If it still leaks on a normal load, turn off the taps and book a visit. Tell us whether the water is at the front, back or underneath.

Seeing a code? See Samsung washer codes

Front-load washer mid-cycle with dry laundry in the drum and no water

Good to know

Use HE detergent sparingly. Too much soap causes many drain codes and smells. Weighing Samsung front loader washer repair against a new machine? Most of these repairs cost a fraction of a new washer.

Routine care. Samsung recommends running Self Clean or Pure Cycle about once a month with the drum empty. The reminder comes on after about 40 washes on front-loaders, or 20 on top-loaders. On a front-loader, clean the pump filter at least once a month or about every 40 washes. Leaving the door and detergent drawer open after each wash helps the gasket dry.

Dryers

Samsung Dryer Problems We Fix

We repair Samsung electric and gas dryers that won't heat, take too long, get noisy or think the door is open.

Dryer Not Heating
Likely cause
On gas dryers, an igniter or valve coils. On electric dryers, a heating element or a thermal fuse.
Try this first
Make sure it isn't on an air-dry setting, clean the lint filter and check the breaker. An electric dryer can tumble on a half-tripped breaker and still not heat.
When to call Aria
A blown thermal fuse usually means the vent was blocked, so we check the vent too.
Dryer Taking Too Long to Dry
Likely cause
Most slow-drying calls are airflow, not parts. Many Samsung dryers show a Filter Check reminder.
Try this first
Clean the lint filter, then check the vent hose behind the dryer and the outside flap.
When to call Aria
If loads still need more than one cycle with a clear vent, book a visit. We check the vent run, the heat and the sensors.
Dryer Squeaking or Thumping
Likely cause
Worn drum rollers, the idler pulley or the belt. A squeal at the start that quiets down is often the idler pulley.
Try this first
Empty the drum and check for coins or zippers caught near the door. Note when the noise starts.
When to call Aria
If it's still noisy with an empty drum, book a visit. Rollers, belts and pulleys are routine repairs.
Dryer Won't Start: Door Reads Open
Likely cause
A worn door switch, a bent latch or lint on the catch.
Try this first
Close the door firmly and check nothing is caught in it.
When to call Aria
If it still won't start, the door switch or latch needs replacing.

Seeing a code? See Samsung dryer codes

Hand pulling a still-damp towel out of a dryer

Good to know

Clean the lint filter every load and have the vent cleaned once a year. It keeps the dryer faster, easier on parts and safer.

Steam models also connect to a water line, so a dryer that isn't steaming may just have the tap off or a kinked hose.

Dishwashers

Samsung Dishwasher Problems We Fix

We repair Samsung dishwashers that won't drain, leak at the door, leave dishes dirty or won't start.

Dishwasher Not Draining
Likely cause
A clogged filter, a kinked drain hose or a blocked disposal connection. Less often, the drain pump.
Try this first
Clean the filter in the bottom of the tub, check the drain hose under the sink, and make sure a new disposal's knockout plug was removed.
When to call Aria
If water keeps sitting in the tub, the drain pump needs testing.
Dishwasher Leaking at the Door
Likely cause
A worn door gasket, or suds from regular dish soap.
Try this first
Use dishwasher detergent only, and wipe the door gasket clean so it seals.
When to call Aria
If it still leaks, book a visit. A slow leak under the tub can damage the floor before you see it.
Dishes Coming Out Dirty
Likely cause
Usually a clogged filter or spray arm.
Try this first
Twist the filter out and rinse it, check the arms spin freely, and top up the rinse aid.
When to call Aria
If dishes still come out dirty, book a visit.
Dishwasher Won't Start
Likely cause
Child lock or delay start, or the leak sensor in the base, which stops the dishwasher until the base dries.
Try this first
Check child lock and delay start are off and the door closes fully.
When to call Aria
If none of that helps, a door latch, sensor or control needs testing.
Open dishwasher with dirty water standing in the bottom of the tub

Good to know

On many models, the dishwasher shows its code on the display, or in the SmartThings app on Wi-Fi models, so note it exactly.

Load tall items at the sides, so they don't block the spray arms or the detergent door.

Microwaves · Range hoods

Samsung Microwave and Range Hood Problems We Fix

We repair Samsung over-the-range microwaves and Samsung range hoods.

Microwave Not Heating or Dead
Likely cause
A door switch or internal fuse is often the cause.
Try this first
If it's dead, switch its breaker off for a minute and back on. If it runs but won't heat, close the door firmly and make sure nothing blocks the latch.
When to call Aria
Please don't open the housing yourself, since microwaves can hold a charge after unplugging.
Turntable Not Turning
Likely cause
A dirty roller ring or track, or a glass tray that isn't sitting on the centre coupler.
Try this first
Wash the tray and roller ring, wipe the track and refit, with the tray seated on the coupler.
When to call Aria
If the coupler doesn't turn with the tray out, the turntable motor needs testing.
Vent Fan Running on Its Own
Likely cause
On many models, a heat sensor turns the fan on when the stove below gets hot and off once it cools.
Try this first
Let the cooktop and oven cool fully, and check the vent fan wasn't simply left on.
When to call Aria
If it won't stop with a cold stove, the sensor or control needs testing.
Range Hood Weak, Loud or Not Running
Likely cause
A clogged filter makes the fan loud and weak. Otherwise the motor, switch or wiring.
Try this first
Clean the grease filters. Most metal filters can go through the dishwasher.
When to call Aria
If it's still weak or loud with clean filters, or the light stays out with a new bulb, it needs testing.
Over-the-range microwave open with a plate of cold food inside

Good to know

Microwaves can hold a charge after unplugging, so please don't open the housing yourself. Most metal hood grease filters can go through the dishwasher.

Our 2 year old Electrolux washing machine started glitching and would stop and display several error codes during the drain cycle (full of water and wet clothes). I called Electrolux and their technician determined that the drain pump needed to be replaced, but it would have taken about a week for them to receive the part and come back to install it.

We decided to call Joe at Aria Appliance Repair after a friend recommended him. Joe came out, tested the pump, got the washer to drain and found that the pump was actually working. He spent more time testing the machine and eventually determined that the main control board was the problem. He came back the next day with the new board, installed it, and tested the washer twice to make sure everything was working properly.

I've since run several loads with no issues. We were really impressed with Joe's knowledge and troubleshooting. He was able to properly diagnose the problem when the manufactures technician had misdiagnosed it. Definitely recommend Joe and Aria Appliance Repair.

What does 5C mean on a Samsung washer?
On many models, 5C, along with 5E or nd, means the washer isn't draining. Clean the pump filter behind the small panel at the bottom front, with towels and a shallow tray ready because water will come out. Then check the drain hose for kinks. If the code keeps showing after that, the drain pump or hose needs testing.
What does 4C mean on my Samsung washer?
On many models, 4C means the washer isn't getting water. Make sure both taps behind the washer are fully open and the inlet hoses aren't kinked or frozen. The small mesh filters where the hoses connect can clog with sediment, so they're worth checking. If water supply is fine and 4C stays, the inlet valve may need testing.
What do dC, LO and L0 mean on a Samsung washer?
On many models, dC, LO and L0 mean the washer can't confirm the door is closed and locked. Check for clothing caught in the door or seal, then close it firmly and restart. If the code keeps coming back with the door properly shut, the door lock is likely worn. That's a common repair we can test and replace.
What do UB and Ub mean on my Samsung washer?
On many models, UB or Ub means the load is unbalanced, so the washer won't spin properly until it's redistributed. A single heavy item like a bath mat often causes it. Spread the load out and restart. If the code appears on normal, mixed loads, the suspension springs or shock absorbers may be worn and need checking.
Why is my Samsung washer humming but not draining?
Something is blocking the pump, or the pump has failed. Clean the filter first. On a recent Thornhill call, a Samsung top-load washer wasn't spinning or draining and was humming, and that pattern often points to a blocked or failed drain pump. If cleaning the filter doesn't help, book a visit so we can test it.
What do 22E, 33E and 39E mean on a Samsung fridge?
On many models, 22E or 22C points to the fridge fan, often because ice has built up around it. 33E points to the ice-pipe heater that keeps the ice maker's water line from freezing. 39E is an ice maker fault. All three usually show up as warm fresh-food sections or slow ice, and all are repairs we handle.
Why is my Samsung fridge warm but the freezer cold?
That's the classic sign of a fan or defrost problem. Frost blocks the air path, so the fridge side never gets enough cold air. A manual defrost can bring it back for a few days, but the frost returns if the defrost part has failed. Keep the doors closed and book a visit so we can fix the cause.
What does C-d0 mean on my Samsung stove?
On many models, C-d0 means a control key is stuck or reading as pressed. Wipe the control panel with a dry cloth and make sure nothing is resting on it, like a pot or a towel. If the code stays after that, the control panel or keypad needs a look. We test it before replacing anything.
Do you repair Samsung Family Hub and smart fridges?
Yes, we repair the cooling, ice and water systems on Samsung Family Hub and other smart fridges. The screen and Wi-Fi features run separately from cooling, so a frozen screen doesn't mean the fridge has stopped cooling. Restarting the screen won't fix a cooling fault either. Tell us the model when you book so we can plan the visit.
Is it worth repairing a Samsung appliance?
Usually. Most Samsung repairs we see are one part: a pump, a door lock, a fan, an ice maker heater, an element or a switch. A simple rule: if the repair costs less than about half of a comparable new appliance, repair it. Sealed-system fridge work or a main control board on an older unit is the bigger decision.
How much does Samsung repair cost?
Diagnostic regularly $129, now $99, and always waived when Aria does the repair. Your technician gives you the full repair price before any work begins. Installing a new Samsung appliance starts from $129. We accept cards, debit, cash, PayPal and Apple Pay, and completed repairs carry our 1-Year Parts & Labour Warranty.
