Amana appliances we repair

Simple, hard-working Amana appliances, kept running

Amana appliances are built to be simple and dependable, which is why you find them in rentals, basements and busy family homes across Vaughan. Most Amana problems come down to one worn part, like a drain pump, an igniter or an element, and they're usually worth fixing. Some Amana dishwashers, ranges and front-load washers show codes like F9 E1. Write the code down, because it tells us which system to check first.

We repair Amana fridges and freezers, electric and gas ranges, over-the-range microwaves, dishwashers, top-load and front-load washers, and electric and gas dryers. Diagnostic regularly $129, now $99, and always waived when Aria does the repair. You get the price before any work starts, and completed repairs include our 1-Year Parts & Labour Warranty. Call 1-888-642-0352, Mon–Sun 8 AM–10 PM.

Refrigerators

Amana Fridge and Freezer Repair

We repair Amana French-door, top-freezer, bottom-freezer and side-by-side fridges, plus Amana chest and upright freezers.

Fridge Not Cooling, Freezer Still Cold
Likely cause
Dust on the condenser coils, a stalled evaporator or condenser fan, or frost blocking the air from the freezer.
Try this first
Check the temperature setting, keep food away from the air vents, and make sure the doors close fully. Leave a little space behind the fridge.
When to call Aria
If it's above 4 °C after a day, book a visit.
Freezer or Chest Freezer Not Freezing
Likely cause
A door or lid that isn't sealing, a dirty condenser, or a failed start relay, fan or compressor.
Try this first
Check the lid or door closes all the way and the seal isn't torn. Make sure the freezer isn't packed against the wall, and that the plug is firmly in.
When to call Aria
If food is softening, move it to another freezer and book a visit.
Ice Maker Not Making Ice
Likely cause
A closed water valve, an old water filter, a frozen fill tube, or a failed inlet valve.
Try this first
Check the ice maker is switched on, the filter is seated, and the water valve behind the fridge is open. A new fridge can take a day to make ice.
When to call Aria
If ice still won't come, book a visit.
Water Leaking Inside or Under the Fridge
Likely cause
A blocked defrost drain or a loose water line behind the fridge.
Try this first
Wipe up the water, check the fridge is level, and look for a dripping water line at the back.
When to call Aria
If the water keeps coming back, book a visit.

Good to know

Stove & Oven

Amana Stove and Oven Repair

We repair Amana electric smooth-top and coil ranges and Amana gas ranges.

Oven Not Heating (F3 E1)
Likely cause
A failed bake element or gas igniter, or on some models an oven temperature sensor or wiring fault, which shows as F3 E1.
Try this first
Check the breaker, make sure the oven isn't set to delay start, and try Broil to see if the top element heats. For F3 E1, turn the breaker off for one minute, then back on.
When to call Aria
If Bake stays cold or F3 E1 comes back, book a visit.
Element or Burner Won't Heat
Likely cause
A failed element or switch on electric models, or a dirty or wet burner on gas models.
Try this first
On electric models, try the same pot on another element. On gas models, make sure the burner cap sits flat and the burner is dry.
When to call Aria
If an element stays cold or a burner clicks but won't light, book a visit.
Keypad Not Responding (F2 E1)
Likely cause
A stuck or failed keypad (F2 E1), a control lock, or a power blip.
Try this first
Check the control lock isn't on. On gas ranges, make sure the grates sit level and aren't pressing on the control panel. Then turn the breaker off for one minute.
When to call Aria
If the keypad still won't respond or F2 E1 returns, book a visit.
Oven Temperature Off
Likely cause
The temperature sensor, a weak element or igniter, or a door that isn't sealing.
Try this first
Let the oven fully preheat, don't cover racks with foil, and check the door seal isn't torn.
When to call Aria
If baking is still off by a lot, book a visit.

We repair Amana over-the-range microwaves, including the 1.6 cu. ft. models, and their vent fans and cooktop lights.

Microwave Runs but Doesn't Heat
Likely cause
A failed high-voltage diode, capacitor, magnetron or door switch.
Try this first
Close the door firmly and heat a cup of water for one minute. If the light and turntable work but the water stays cold, stop using it.
When to call Aria
Microwaves hold a charge even when unplugged, so please don't open the cover. Book a visit.
Microwave Dead or Won't Start
Likely cause
The door isn't fully latched, a tripped breaker, a blown internal fuse, or a failed door switch.
Try this first
Open and close the door firmly, then check the breaker.
When to call Aria
If it's still dead, a door switch is often the cause, and we test it before replacing anything.
Vent Fan or Light Not Working
Likely cause
A failed fan motor, a burned-out light, or the control board.
Try this first
Try each fan speed and the light button. Clean the grease filters under the microwave.
When to call Aria

Turntable Not Turning
Likely cause
The tray isn't seated on its roller ring, or the turntable motor has failed.

When to call Aria
If the tray still won't turn, book a visit.

When to call Aria

Clean Light Flashing
Likely cause

Try this first
Write down the two numbers, then turn the power off at the breaker for 30 seconds.
When to call Aria
If it keeps flashing, book a visit and tell us the numbers.
Not Filling or No Water
Likely cause

Check the drain hose isn't kinked and goes no more than about 11 cm (4.5 in) into the standpipe. On front-loaders, put towels down and clean the drain pump filter.
When to call Aria

Try this first
Clean the lint screen and check the breaker. On electric models, both sides of the double breaker need to be on.
When to call Aria
If it still blows cold air, book a visit. We check the vent too, so the fuse doesn't blow again.
Clothes Take Too Long to Dry
Likely cause
A clogged lint screen or vent, or an overloaded drum.

the problem was that the oven was not reaching the set temperature and would not go any higher than 320°. I called, and a technician showed up the same day, quickly diagnosed it, and came back the next day with the parts and replaced the bake element. Fast, fair-priced, and friendly. 😊

Aria appliances Technician was very knowledgeable and saved me from buying new dishwasher and save me $$$$ by fixing my Dishwasher quickly and it runs great. Thank you Aria Appliance team

Our 2 year old Electrolux washing machine started glitching and would stop and display several error codes during the drain cycle (full of water and wet clothes). I called Electrolux and their technician determined that the drain pump needed to be replaced, but it would have taken about a week for them to receive the part and come back to install it.

We decided to call Joe at Aria Appliance Repair after a friend recommended him. Joe came out, tested the pump, got the washer to drain and found that the pump was actually working. He spent more time testing the machine and eventually determined that the main control board was the problem. He came back the next day with the new board, installed it, and tested the washer twice to make sure everything was working properly.

I've since run several loads with no issues. We were really impressed with Joe's knowledge and troubleshooting. He was able to properly diagnose the problem when the manufactures technician had misdiagnosed it. Definitely recommend Joe and Aria Appliance Repair.

What does F9 E1 mean on my Amana?
On Amana front-load washers and dishwashers, F9 E1 means it's taking too long to drain. Check the drain hose isn't kinked, clean the drain pump filter (washer) or the filter in the tub (dishwasher), and run the disposer. If F9 E1 keeps coming back, the drain pump needs testing.
Why is the Clean light flashing on my Amana dishwasher?
It's showing a code. Count the first set of flashes, wait for the pause, then count the second set. Nine then one means F9 E1, a drain problem. Turn the power off for 30 seconds. If it keeps flashing, book a visit and tell us the numbers.
What do LF and Sud mean on an Amana washer?
LF (also Lo FL or F8 E1) means the washer is taking too long to fill, so open both taps fully and check the hoses. Sud means too many suds, so use less HE detergent. If a code keeps coming back, book a visit.
Why is the Lid Locked light flashing on my Amana top-load washer?
On models without a display, a flashing Lid Locked light usually means the lid isn't fully closed or the cycle is paused. Close the lid firmly and press Start. If it keeps flashing with the lid shut, book a visit.
Why is my Amana dryer running but not heating?
On electric models, it's usually a blown thermal fuse or a failed heating element. On gas models, it's often the igniter. Clean the lint screen and check the breaker first. If it still blows cold air, book a visit, and we'll check the vent so it doesn't happen again.
What does F3 E1 mean on my Amana range?
On many Amana ranges, F3 E1 points to the oven temperature sensor, its wiring or the control. Turn the breaker off for one minute, then back on. If F3 E1 comes back, book a visit.
Why is my Amana fridge not cooling?
Common causes are dusty condenser coils, a stalled fan, or frost blocking the air from the freezer. Check the setting, keep the vents clear and make sure the doors close fully. If it's above 4 °C after a day, book a visit.
Do you repair Amana chest freezers?
Yes. We repair Amana chest and upright freezers. If a freezer stops freezing, check the lid seals, the plug and that it isn't packed against a wall, then move food somewhere cold and book a visit.
Is it worth repairing an Amana appliance?
Usually, yes. Most Amana repairs are a single, common part, like a thermal fuse, an element, an igniter or a drain pump. A simple rule: if the repair costs less than about half of a comparable new appliance, repair it. The bigger call is sealed-system fridge work. We price it first, so you decide.
How much does Amana repair cost?
Diagnostic regularly $129, now $99, and always waived when Aria does the repair. After testing, you get the exact repair price before any work starts. Installing a new Amana appliance starts from $129. We accept cards, debit, cash, PayPal and Apple Pay, and completed repairs carry our 1-Year Parts & Labour Warranty.
Can you get parts for my Amana appliance?
Yes. Amana shares many parts with other Whirlpool-made brands, so most common parts are easy to get. If a part needs ordering, we tell you the timing up front and book a second visit that suits you. Keep your model number handy.
How do I book Amana repair near me?
Book online by choosing your appliance, a day and an arrival window, or call 1-888-642-0352, Mon–Sun 8 AM–10 PM. We serve all of Vaughan, including Woodbridge, Maple, Kleinburg, Concord and Thornhill. If you're outside Vaughan, call to confirm your address.
